This could be because some virus has corrupted registry entry. If this is the case then follow the steps give below to resolve this issue.
- Go to run
- Type regedit
- Click open to open Registry Editor
- Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT => exefile => shell => open => command
- Now double click on (Default) which is in right panel
- If the value is other then “%1” %* then change the value data to “%1” %*
- That's All now all of your exe files should work
